APPOINTMENT

Applications are invited for the post of Directors (Rs.16,400-450-20,450/-) in Grid Corporation of Orissa Ltd. & Orissa Power Transmission Corporation Ltd. Both the Companies are State owned power utilities in Orissa and are engaged in the business of Transmission of Electricity and Power Trading respectively.

Director (Engineering) in OPTCL :
The incumbent should possess a Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification with a proven track record of at least 15 years of experience in the relevant functions, i.e., Transmission & Distribution of Electricity, of which at least 5 years should be in a position at higher management level. He should have experience in all aspects of power utilities with emphasis on planning, design, construction, operation & maintenance of Transmission system and setting standards / code of practice.

Director (Commercial) in GRIDCO :
The incumbent should possess a Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification with a proven track record of at least 15 years of experience in the relevant functions of which at least 5 years should be in a position at higher management level. He should have experience in all aspects of power utilities with emphasis on PPAs, Regulation & Tariff and Commercial aspects.

The maximum age limit of the applicants in both the cases should be 55 years as on 01.01.2006.

The appointment shall be on tenure basis with initial contract period of 3 years which may be extended for a further period based on performance and requirements of the respective company. However, the contract period shall be limited up to the date of the superannuation i.e. 58 years as applicable at present.
