Gridco a State owned Power utility and the sole transmission licensee for supply of electric energy in the state of Orissa, invites applications from ST Candidates for Management Trainees (Graduate Electrical Engineering).

Educational Qualification & General Conditions:

Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University/Institution or passing of Section-A&B of IE (India) in Electrical Engineering discipline a pass in Oriya Language Test equivalent to ME standard is essential. Alternatively the candidate has to pass the requisite language test in Oriya within one year of appointment. Exposure in computer preferred.

Age : Not more than 32 years as on 1.1.2004. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5years in case of ST candidates.

Selection Procedure : Eligible candidates shall be called for written test. Only those candidates who qualify in the Written Test shall be called for personal interview at Bhubaneswar. The date and venue of Written Test shall be intimated in due course.

Travelling Allowance: The ST candidates called for the Written Test / Personal interview shall be paid to and fro 2nd class Train fare/Bus fare by shortest route.

Training & Service Bond : The selected candidates at the time of joining the training will be required to sign a Training & Service Bond on Non-Judicial Stamp paper to serve the Company for a period of three years after successful completion of training.

The duration of the training shall be for a period of one year. During the training period the trainee will be paid monthly consolidated stipend of Rs.5000/- only.

On successful completion of the training the candidates will be absorbed as Asst. Manager (EI) in the Pay Scale of Rs.6500-11,000/- in E-3 Grade with usual D.A. and other benefit as per Company Rules.

Medical Fitness : The candidates selected must be free from physical deformities / defects and conform to the medical standards stipulated for the purpose and as certified by the Company's Medical Officer.

Office, Janpath, Bhubaneswar-751022 so as to reach on or before 19.1.2004. The Application and Envelop containing the application should be marked on the top as "Special Recruitment Drive for MT (Graduate Electrical Engineering)" The applications received after due date or incomplete applications will be rejected without any further correspondence.

Candidates working in State/Central Government/Public Sector Undertaking should send their applications through proper channel or shall produce a "No Objection Certificate" at the time of personal interview.
